James Osgood Andrew Clark, clergyman, lawyer, and educator, was born 6 October 1827, in Savannah, Georgia, and died 4 September 1894, in Macon, Georgia. He was educated in New England, but returned to Savannah, where he was admitted to the Georgia bar (1853) and was ordained in the Methodist Episcopal Church, South (1854).
